The Gorsline Company annually presents the Human Performance Institute Scholarship to a young aspiring driver who consistently displays exceptional talent and a professional respect for motorsports. John Gorsline started the scholarship as a way to promote the sport and to recognize young future championship drivers. Some past recipients have been Danica Patrick of the IZOD Indy Series/NASCAR Nationwide series, Colin Braun of the NASCAR nationwide series and Patrick Long of the American Lemans Series. This award is presented annually at the Autosport banquet in London, England and at the American Auto Race Writers and Broadcasters Association awards banquet.

Conor Daly, of Noblesville, Ind., has been selected to receive the 18th annual Gorsline Scholarship, presented by The Gorsline Company. Daly, 18, is the 2010 Formula Star Mazda champion and the son of professional racing champion Derek Daly. Josef Newgarden, of Hendersonville, Tenn., has been awarded the 17th annual Gorsline Company scholarship, presented by John Gorsline. The Gorsline Scholarship is given to a young up-and-coming driver each year who displays the attributes of a future champion.
