Kelsey Pinkowski Named 2025 Gorsline Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to Kelsey (R), and to our runner-up Lexy (L) with John Gorsline! What exciting things to come!

The Gorsline Company Announces Winner of the 2025 Scholarship

Sebring, Fla., March 14, 2025 – The Gorsline Company is happy to award the 2025 Gorsline Scholarship to Kelsey Pinkowski of Rochester, N.Y. The 21-year-old student at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has been juggling college studies and racing since 2021.

Since its inception in 1994, the Gorsline Scholarship has honored outstanding individuals in the racing community, with previous winners including prominent names in motorsports like Danica Patrick, Josef Newgarden, Conor Daly, Katherine Legge, Patrick Long, Bryan Herta, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., to name a few.

"The Gorsline Scholarship is part of our effort to identify the next generation of racing drivers and support their racing goals," said John Gorsline, principal of the Gorsline Company. "We had some talented young women in consideration for this year's scholarship and are happy to present the scholarship to Kelsey Pinkowski, who has shown great progress in her racing craft this past year.

"Through the Gorsline Scholarship, we have helped recognize some very talented young up- and-coming drivers and hopefully give them a leg up with introductions and benefits they might not have been able to access otherwise. It is always an honor for me to shine the light on racing talent and be part of their goal to achieve their racing dreams."

Kelsey is studying Global Business Management at RIT, where she is a junior and also serves as the Business Associate for RIT's successful Formula SAE team. Coached by racing driver Nic Jonsson, Kelsey announced last month that she would be racing in the 2025 F4 Kyojo Cup with Team KCMG in Japan, seeking to elevate her single-seater racing experience. Previously Kelsey was a member of the Kiwi Crosslink Formula 4 team and will also continue to compete in F4 this season.

"I continue to learn about racing every year and with each step. The Gorsline Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for me as I hope to continue to grow as a race driver," said Kelsey Pinkowski. "All of the racing breaks that I've had have allowed me to continue to push my limits, gain greater experience, and take the next step in my racing career. This scholarship from Mr. Gorsline will certainly go a long way towards my goals."

Additionally, the Skip Barber Racing School has joined the Gorsline Scholarship awarding the Gorsline Scholarship candidates Skip Barber schools. Kelsey will be awarded a two-day advanced racing school and runner-up Lexy Barlow will be awarded a three-day racing school.

"We are very happy to be able to award the Skip Barber Racing Schools to our scholarship candidates," added Gorsline. "I also want to mention how proud we are of our 2021 Gorsline Scholarship winner, Courtney Crone, who has joined the F1 Academy in 2025 and will be representing the Haas F1 Team. "Also, one of this year's potential scholarship candidates, Isabella Robusto, has progressed ahead so rapidly and is already racing full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. We continue to follow her career and wish all of these ladies all the best in their motorsports journeys."

We look forward to working with Kelsey, her family and her coach as she progresses in her developing racing career.
